Varsity Hackathon
, is a year-old flagship program, initiated in the early months of 2022. With V Hack 2022 achieving great success, V Hack is definitely one of the largest student-led international hackathons for local and international undergraduates to compete by formulating ground-breaking solutions for various issues with the power of technology.V Hack aims to break the norms and expose undergraduate students to the wonders of hackathons. V Hack is also the place for them to enhance their technical skills, develop outstanding ideas alongside expanding their network with likeminded people.
This year, Varsity Hackathon has made a comeback with more interesting challenges and grand prizes that intend to achieve greater milestones and achievements. V Hack 2023 will be brought to life in hybrid mode where participants will complete their preliminary round online and participate physically for the final round of the hackathon.

Varsity Hackathon 2023 is a student-led international hackathon for local and international undergraduates to compete by formulating the best solutions to solve real-world issues.
The preliminary round of Varsity Hackathon 2023 starts on the 11th of March and end on the 15th of March. The Top 20 teams will then be announced on the 19th of March. The Top 20 teams will attend the final round held in Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang, on the 1st and 2nd of April.
From 10 February 2023, 12.00 AM until 7 March 2023, 11.59 PM (GMT+8).
A team should have a minimum of 1 member and a maximum of 3 members.
Varsity Hackathon 2023 will be held in hybrid mode. Preliminary round will be held virtually, while the Top 20 teams that qualify for the final round will need to physically attend the Grand Finals at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang.
Yes, definitely! If you prefer to run alone, you can register as an individual team.
Yes, definitely! But it is best to have at least one teammate with a technical background as the final round of the hackathon involves user interface (UI) development of the proposed solution.
No, Varsity Hackathon 2023 is open to all countries, it is an international hackathon.
Yes, a team may have members from the same university or different universities.
The case studies will be revealed to the registered participants after the end of the registration period.
Yes, accommodation is provided and it is compulsory for finalists to stay in the accommodation provided by the organising team during the final round of the hackathon. However, transportation is not provided by the organising team.
Yes, diploma students who are currently studying in a university will be able to take part in V Hack 2023
